Breaking Ground on New Career Tech and STEM

On Thursday, February 13th, Cullman City Schools celebrated the start of construction on its new career technology and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) wing at Cullman High School. Cullman City Schools officials gathered with Cullman City officials, the architects, Lathan Architects, and the construction team to officially break ground on the project.



The facility includes a new two-story wing located behind the current agriculture class/shop on Fourth Street. The cutting-edge project provides spaces for STEM programs, cybersecurity, health science, educators and training, computer science, and marketing classrooms.There will be a 3,900 sf dedicated space for modern manufacturing on the lower level. The project provides 150 additional parking spaces for students and staff as well.



Cullman City Schools has developed programs that align with local and area industry needs. Lathan Architects is grateful to be part of this project and excited to see the long-term impact this type of school facility will have on the students and community.
